Marcus J. Hollander, PhD, is President of Hollander Analytical Services Ltd. He holds a BA and MA in Sociology, an MSc in Health Services Planning and Administration, and a PhD in Human and Social Development with concentration in Social and Health Policy, Administration, and Finance. Marcus has more than twenty-five years of experience as a health services researcher and administrator. He has held the following senior research positions: Director of Research and Planning for the Alcohol and Drug Commission of BC, Visiting Research Fellow at Statistics Canada, and Director of the Health Network of the Canadian Policy Research Networks. As an administrator, he served in a number of positions in the BC Continuing Care Division, including the Director of Programs and Acting Executive Director. In these positions, he was responsible for the operational management of the BC continuing care system. He also served as a Special Consultant on Policy for the Policy and Planning Division of the BC Ministry of Health. He is currently Co-Director of the National Evaluation of the Cost-Effectiveness of Home Care, a national research project funded by the Health Transition Fund, Health Canada. He holds honourary academic appointments at Simon Fraser University (Gerontology) and the University of British Columbia (Health Administration). top »

Walter Muir, PhD, Senior Advisor, Measurement and Statistics, is Professor Emeritus, Faculty of Education, University of Victoria. He taught methods and statistics in the educational psychology department for over 25 years. Walter's areas of expertise are statistics, measurement and evaluation, research methodology, and computer applications. He has played an integral role in research projects for IBM Canada, Apple Canada, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, the Canadian International Development Research Centre (China), the Canadian International Development Agency (Indonesia). Professor Muir has conducted project evaluations and surveys of customer and employee satisfaction for several ministries and agencies of the British Columbia Government. He is past president of the Canadian Educational Researchers' Association and was Chairman of the Board of Examiners, Ministry of Education, British Columbia. top »

Jo Ann Miller, PhD, Director of Research and Evaluation, has a wide variety of experience in the Canadian health care environment with a specialty in psychology. As former Director of Education and Research for the Alzheimer Society of British Columbia, she supervised large-scale research projects and oversaw the synthesis and dissemination of the results of these projects. Her background in policy analysis has seen her work in contact with all levels of government as well as the private sector. Jo Ann Miller's publication and presentation record is broad and comprehensive. She has experience working as part of a research team and as a university lecturer. Her research focus on health services is grounded in her knowledge of both theory and application in the field. top »

Anthony Beks, Director of Business Services, has over seventeen years of experience with business services. He excels at word processing and transcription services and can prepare reports, proposals, correspondence, and financial statements. He manages business and project accounts and is experienced in organizing conferences and workshops. He also provides consultation on office management and instruction on word processing. top »
