Don Chaput, Rena Kendall-Craden, Elizabeth (Betsy) Mann, Alicia Priest, Jane Waterston

Don Chaput is President, Director and videographer for Angel Communications. He has studied Fine Art at the Vancouver School of Art, the Banff School of Fine Art and the University of Saskatchewan. For 27 years, he has worked as a freelance videographer, cinematographer, director, producer, and editor. He has completed over 150 film and video projects for Canadian and international clients, including governments, school boards, research foundations, television stations, and private-sector companies. He has held long term contract positions as a videographer and cinematographer with the CBC in British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan, and with CFQC TV in Saskatoon, where he was responsible for news, sports, filming and editing. He also has extensive experience as a portrait photographer. Don recently completed a contract as a videographer for Steven Spielberg's project, Survivors of the Shoah, recording the personal testimony of individuals who lived through the Nazi regime in Europe. top »

Rena Kendall-Craden, President of Kendall Craden Communications, draws on 18 years of strength and experience in strategic public relations to help corporate leaders succeed in the public spotlight. As a PR professional, she has served as a strategist for mergers and restructuring and has counseled directors of small- and medium-sized companies. In her former work as Director of Public Affairs of the Addiction Research Foundation of Ontario, Rena gave presentations across the country on new technology, PR strategy and health care communications. Her career began with seven years of journalism as a researcher, writer and award-winning producer for CBC Vancouver and Toronto. Rena's broad experience includes documentaries, radio, print, commercials, marketing, and public relations for corporate and health care executives. Currently she serves as founder of Kendall Craden Communications, a PR/Communications company in Toronto and Victoria, BC. top »

Elizabeth (Betsy) Mann holds a Master's Degree in political economy and has over 25 years of experience in research and administration. She is the editor of the bilingual magazine of the Canadian Association of Family Resource Programs and has written and edited a number of documents for that organization as well as several others including Health Canada. She has acted as a personnel trainer and manager for Industry Canada, Transport Canada and Human Resources Development Canada. Her specialty in group negotiation has seen her play an important role on numerous interview and research teams serving both French and English panels. top »

Alicia Priest is a freelance writer with extensive experience in newspaper and magazine journalism specializing in health care issues. Her educational background is in nursing, English and journalism. She has written for The Powell River News, The Vancouver Province, and The Vancouver Sun newspapers as well as for such magazines as the Georgia Straight, Monday Magazine, Focus on Women, Elm Street, Better Learning and The Amicus Journal. Alicia has also worked as an editor for Beautiful BC Magazine and on the book The Book of Eagles. With seven years of experience working as an RN, Alicia is particularly adept at health care analysis and has the practical experience to back up her research. She has worked as a communications consultant for both private and government organizations and continues to pursue research interests involving public health and education issues. She has won several awards for her work including the year 2000 Award of Merit and an Award of Excellence from the Canadian Nurses Association. She has also recently received a nominations for both National and Western Canadian Magazine awards. top »

Jane Waterston is a communications specialist with experience in a wide range of publishing and research projects. She holds a Master's Degree in English and has experience in all aspects of the publishing industry, from small book presses to theatre promotion, to arts marketing. Her consulting work saw her as part of the Royal Commission on Newspapers, which led to her position as Executive Director of the Centre for Investigative Journalism (now the Canadian Association of Journalists) at Carleton University. She has been a contributing editor to Environmental Dimensions, Environmental Business Canada and Play and Parenting Connections. Her consulting work continues, with projects for the Rawson Academy, Temple Scott Associates, Marbek Associates and Resource Future International. She is currently the communications coordinator for Natural Legacy 2000. top »
